The School Hall Project

In addition to visiting India and the school, the main reason for our visit in 2008 was to help start the building work for the school hall cum village hall.
Our work was to start marking out and digging the hall foundations. This was hampered by the burning hot sun and heavy monsoon rain. However, we did manage to complete the best part of three sides of the hall.

The next few years saw no progress as all the money was needed for expanding the teaching rooms. It was disappointing to see the initial work gradually becoming overgrown.

When we visited in 2014, it was great to see progress with the walls gradually growing and the addition of a medical centre as part of the hall building.
We recieved news at Christmas that a company was going to help build the hall which was great news.

Early 2016 and the news is that the hall is now taking shape.
