Everyone cooked their own breakfast on Saturday morning and then we went out cycling whilst the Scouts built camp gadgets and did some pioneering work. We stopped at the cafe in Castleton for refreshments in addition to cooking our own lunch on expedition stoves. We met up with the Northallerton Cubs who were out for a walk and also had a football match.
By the time we returned to the site the rain had started so we took shelter and got hot drinks ready for when the Scouts returned for their treasure hunt.

The rain abated for a while late evening and we built a camp fire using the wood the Scouts had collected earlier in the day so everyone was able to get warm before retiring to bed.
