The walked raised a final total of £513 – way beyond our original expectations.
In addition to this figure, we will benefit by a further £100 (approximately) thanks to those of you who Gift Aided your donation, which goes to prove how important it is that you take this simple step when giving to a registered charity if you are a UK tax payer. Many thanks go to Kath Powlay, whose original idea it was, to those of you who walked on what proved to be an excellent day for such an event, to Sue for organising the refreshments in the Church Hall and finally to all those who gave so generously. What an enjoyably sociable way to raise much-needed funds for the upkeep of our beautiful church!! So much so that we may repeat the experiment next year, giving those of you who didn’t take part this year ample time to get fit and join in next time
