Priest in Charge: The Revd Gareth Randall
Visit of Rt. Rev David Hamid
Bishop David Hamid was able to be present at the meeting of the PCC in St. Briac on Saturday November 19th.
During the meeting, Bishop David gave us much help and guidance in the matter under serious consideration, as to how and when,
we should move towards the target of having a permanent chaplain.
As is the well established St. Bartholomew's tradition, this was followed by a buffet lunch for members and their partners.
Although there was much informal conversation at this time, there was not chance to prolong this too much, as the Bishop together with Rev. Alan Charters,
our Priest in Charge, were to sail out to sea, with a party of local representatives, to lay wreaths in commemoration of the 100 year anniversary of the sinking of the British vessel SS Hilda.
On Sunday 20th, Bishop David presided at the service and the confirmation of six of the members of the church family and again, as is the St. Bartholomew's tradition, this was followed by moving on to a local restaurant, for a celebration lunch.
